Geres National Park Peneda do Gerês is a region in northern Portugal that is part of the Parque Nacional da Peneda - Gerês, the only national park in the country. It is a beautiful area with mountains, valleys, waterfalls, lakes, forests and villages.

It is a popular destination for nature lovers and hikers, camping ,trails .

The park was created in 1971 with an area of 70 000 hectares and since then it has been the only one of its kind in our country.
